Here’s a llama statue I made for a class 2 terms ago. It’s actually not a chess piece, like people keep asking me, but it does give me a wicked awesome idea for a llama chess set. :D

Since I need more art around here, have a WIP! I made this sword in Flash a few months back just for fun.
I wanted to see if I could get it looking good in 3D (since I don’t have much experience with 3D weapons). My first attempt was awful, it was basically just the vector art used as the texture as it was..So, after getting some feedback and a few revisions to the design, this is where I’m at right now:
I still have to finish the scratches on the left side of the blade, but other than that I think it’s pretty much done. I’m trying to stay low-spec, so it’s just a 256×256 diffuse, no spec or normal (190 polys, by the way). I might add some more dirt/grunge as well, but I’m not sure if that’d be over-doing it. :P

Hooray first post. I’m not very good with words, so here’s some art! :D
Just something I whipped up yesterday as a birthday present for my teacher/mentor/inspiration, Mars Ashton. It was fun trying to adapt myself to his style. I usually have no problem going lineless with my vectors, but it always impresses me how much detail he’s able to convey. I admit it took me quite a bit longer than I thought, but I think I’m better for the experience.
I made him into a bird-warrior-type-guy ’cause he seems to love drawing sarcastic birds. Though that’s more of a running joke than fact, considering there’s maybe one or two total in his portfolio. :P Still, it was fun.
